Pulp Adventure With A Woman Vigilante Warrior

Set in the later years of the Iraq war, Souverain ventures out on her own beyond the Green Zone to help the women and children of Baghdad survive, when no one else will. In "The Kid", Souverain is faced with leaving a legacy as her world changes.

Souverain is the vigilante warrior woman mentioned in this post's title, a character created by Ben Ferrari.  I wrote three stories for her that Ben illustrated that appeared in Lady Fight #2 - #4, collected in Souverain #1 - all released by Earthbound Comics. The prose short "The Kid" also appeared in the Souverain #1 collection. Later, Ben and I released it as a stand-alone free eBook to see if we could reach out to new audiences with our work beyond the world of comics, maybe draw some new people in.
